We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Head of Accounts to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead and manage all financial processes, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, payment management, and the timely execution of financial tasks. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day and monthly financial operations, collaborating with various departments to guarantee smooth and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the creation and processing of invoices.
  • Manage banking operations for both receivables and payables
  • Pursue overdue payments and manage aged debtor accounts.
  • Organise and maintain a clear, efficient email inbox for account-related correspondence.
  • Calculate, prepare, and submit payroll.
  • Oversee vehicle logs and scheduling.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Supervise and support the accounts department.
  • Ensure daily hotel bookings are made for assessors.
  • Verify and approve overtime calculations.
  • Regularly review accreditations and handle any necessary updates.
  • Monitor and manage the aged debtor list, issuing payment reminders as needed.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team for smooth financial operations.
  • Track referral fees and maintain quarterly reports on customer usage volume.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of bank statements to oversee cash flow and financial activity.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Capability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Google applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when coordinating with different teams and departments.


This role requires someone who is proactive, highly organised, and able to maintain the highest standards of financial management.

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in accounting role (Required)
  • AAT Level 2 or 3 (Desirable)
  • Degree / Masters (Desirable)
