Position Overview:

As an Accounts Executive at our Background Verification Company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely financial transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure financial compliance and contribute to the smooth functioning of our business.

Responsibilities:


Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
  • Input financial data into the accounting software/system and ensure proper coding and categorization.

Accounts Receivable:
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to address any invoicing discrepancies or issues.

Accounts Payable:
  • Process vendor invoices, review for accuracy, and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

Bank Reconciliation:
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate representation of the company's financial position.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.

Expense Management:
  • Review employee expense reports, verify receipts, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Process and record employee reimbursements accurately.

Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing various financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate ad hoc financial reports as required by management.

Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain organized and secure financial documentation for auditing purposes.

Assist in Audits:
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary financial information and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments such as operations, sales, and HR to ensure accurate financial data exchange and reporting.

Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the efficiency of financial processes.
  • Provide insights and suggestions to enhance financial reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle financial discrepancies effectively.
