Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a background in plantations or manufacturing companies to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of the company. The role requires financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and financial analysis expertise. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations and strong analytical and communication skills. This is a mid-level position with 4 to 6 years of experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven 4 to 6 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.)
  • Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial activities of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis on a regular basis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, principles, and regulations
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during annual audits
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions
  • Provide financial expertise and guidance to management and other departments as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
