What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it):

You will play a key role in supporting the Group Accountant by assisting with the month-end close process for multiple international entities. This includes preparing financial statements, bank reconciliations, monthly profit and loss reports, and balance sheet reconciliations. You'll work closely with various teams, such as billing and accounts payable, to ensure accurate expense and revenue tracking. In addition, you'll handle accruals, provision journals, cash flow forecasting, and provide vital support during the year-end audit. Your contributions will help guide stakeholders across the organisation in making informed budgeting and investment decisions.

Where you'll be doing it:

You'll be joining a prestigious financial services firm with an international presence, specializing in wealth and investment management. With a commitment to excellence and a culture of collaboration, they provide unparalleled opportunities for professional growth and development. You'll be based in professional offices in Cape Town CBD. This role will be 100% office based for your probation period, thereafter, there are 3 office days.

What you'll need:

You will need a formal tertiary qualification in Accounting, along with at least 2 years practical experience in financial reporting and analysis. Strong Excel skills are essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure while managing deadlines. You also need to bring a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude, along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Ideally financial services industry experience but we are open to other industries, as long as you've had corporate industry experience.
