Description

You will be responsible for overseeing the financials of a conveyancing company and a fast-growing rental management company within IGrow Group of companies. The Financial Manager will play a critical role in the operations, management and the streamlining of systems while assisting with the company's growth and profitability.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Financial Management

Accounting and Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
  • Manage general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.

Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to management, investors, and stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Develop and monitor budgets for different departments and projects.
  • Forecast future financial performance and provide insights for strategic planning.

Financial Modeling

Financial Projections:
  • Develop detailed financial models for various scenarios and business cases.
  • Use financial modeling to support investment decisions and strategic planning.

Sensitivity Analysis:
  • Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess the impact of different variables on financial outcomes.
  • Provide management with insights into potential risks and opportunities.

Compliance and Audit

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Keep up to date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the property investment sector.

Taxation:
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws.
  • Implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

Internal and External Audits:
  • Coordinate and manage internal audits to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and information.

Strategic Planning and Advisory

Financial Strategy:
  • Advise on financial strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Support decision-making with financial analysis and risk assessment.

Investment Analysis:
  • Evaluate potential property investments, including financial viability and risk assessment.
  • Conduct due diligence and financial modeling for new investments.

Cost Management:
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Monitor and control operational costs.

Rental and Legal Aspects

Rental Income Management:
  • Oversee the collection and management of rental income.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments.

Lease Agreements:
  • Review and advise on lease agreements to ensure they are financially sound and legally compliant.
  • Manage the financial aspects of lease renewals and terminations.

Legal Compliance:
  • Ensure all financial and rental operations comply with relevant property and tenancy laws.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to resolve financial disputes related to properties and rentals.

Technology and Systems

Financial Systems:
  • Implement and maintain accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of financial data.

Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Streamline financial operations to enhance efficiency.

Communication and Collaboration

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate financial performance and strategies to stakeholders, including investors, management, and employees.
  • Prepare and present financial reports at board meetings.

Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., legal, operations, property management) to ensure financial alignment.
  • Provide training and support to finance team members.
