Description
The ideal candidate will assist the department with tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with tax laws. The Tax Accountant will play a critical role in assisting with tax returns, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a customer service focus, self-driven, capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines and swiftly resolve issues.
Responsibilities:

The role involves aiding in the prompt filing of tax returns.
Assist in audit documentation and support, maintaining withholding tax rate tables, maintaining transfer pricing documentation, and maintaining the Company's tax records.
Collaborate with finance and tax systems, conduct research on different taxability issues for various transaction types and locations, and aid with field activities related to tax law and compliance.
Support transfer pricing policies, aid in transfer pricing calculations, assist in computing the income tax provision, and handle other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Honours in Accounting with Articles
Strong accounting knowledge is required
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to read and comprehend financial statements
Exceptional organizational skills are a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills, English is a must.
Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite
Must be detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and meeting deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
