As an Analyst on the Credit Derivative and Index Research team you will conduct quantitative and product based analysis into the credit market. This involves core research ranging from analysis of market data, building quantitative models to forecast market risks, and gaining in-depth understanding of the products traded in the credit market. Derivative Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating.

Job Responsibilities
  • Engage with other market participants through written research notes and macro pieces
  • Speak to internal/external clients on data, markets and tradable products
  • Work with our partners in both sales and trading to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates, market intelligence and traded product details

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Strong programming, quantitative, finance and communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex products in a simple and intuitive manner
  • Strong programming skills (particularly Python)
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods
  • Curious, detail oriented and persistent and have a desire to learn about issuers, markets and products
  • Strong in written and oral communication. Our communication needs to be clear, concise and impactful
  • Strong in the use of Excel and Power Point

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Finance and Economics experience is an added bonus.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
