Job Description

To support LGIMs ever increasing breadth of capabilities, we require leaders who have a deep understanding of the key role that data plays in our success. Data sits at the heart of our day-to-day operations and underpins our future strategy, for example through the use of AI.

This role will be responsible for the data which supports our investment processes and will act as our voice, or subject matter expert, for investment-related data matters. It will also drive effective collaboration across our teams on all data initiatives, whether small continuous improvements or transformational solutions that support Investments' strategic growth initiatives.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting the day-to-day BAU data needs of Investment
  • Owning and maintaining Investments enterprise data and how it relates to our investment processes
  • Collaborating with enterprise Technology and Data teams on all types of change initiatives
  • Aligning our approach to data to LGIMs data strategy
  • Promoting the innovative use of data to support Investments growth
  • Delivering Investment specific data solutions
  • Managing vendor data requirements
  • Ensuring alignment with our Risk & Compliance standards


Qualifications

Who we're looking for:
  • You will have deep data skills, and experience of applying them in investment management - or any industry that is reliant on data and analytics
  • You will have excellent influencing skills, which you have used to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • You must be able to define, develop, articulate and deploy data solutions, and be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach to doing so with other teams
  • You must also have an awareness of, and interest in, current and emerging data and technology trends and practices
  • You should have strong and credible communication skills, and can concisely provide complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly desirable is knowledge of the investment management process, instruments, trade strategies, and risk analytics requirements; and investment management data and technology systems, and their inter-relationships and dependencies with each other
  • Also highly desirable is a track record of designing, building and enhancing data models and technology solutions within a global investment manager
  • Python and SQL programming experience is a plus, as is experience of working in AWS/Azure environments
