The Role



We are now recruiting for a Forensic Accountant / Forensic Assistant Manager (depending on experience) to join our Leeds Office and wider Forensic Accounting Service Line.



This position is ideal if you have recently become either ACA or ACCA qualified and are keen to specialise in Forensic Accounting and follow a career path in this field of Accountancy.



The main elements of this role will include:
  • Working alongside and supporting other members of the Forensic Accounting Team
  • Undertaking detailed analysis work
  • Undertaking conflict checks, AML checks and file set ups
  • Learning how to prepare cost estimates / budgets for jobs
  • Learning how to effectively manage case files assigned to them
  • Dealing with and responding to a Forensic correspondence as directed
  • Preparing first drafts of advice notes and reports for the Experts as directed
  • Preparing fee notes
  • Undertaking Service Line administration where required
  • Increasing professional profile by attending marketing and networking events
  • Demonstrating excellent judgement and be driven by professional excellence with a commitment to the Armstrong Watson brand

The Candidate



In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:
  • Either ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Experience of working in a Forensic Accounting team (desirable not essential requirement)
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • A team player and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
  • Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
