As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with managers and partners, you will be responsible for preparing year-end financial statements, managing client relationships, and providing valuable insights to help clients improve their financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review year-end financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Provide financial and tax advice to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the practice.
- Support junior team members through coaching, training, and mentorship.
- Proven experience working in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
