Page Personnel are working with a leading manufacturing business based in Knutsford. They are seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing team at an exciting time for the business.
Description
Management Accountant responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts to the prescribed internal format on a timely basis
- Provide analytical review and commentary on month end performances, explaining deviations from budget and forecast where applicable.
- Maintain strong internal control and understanding of all accounts within the balance sheet undertaking monthly reconciliations of such accounts.
- Ensure Intercompany balances are reconciled monthly between group companies.
- Provide support to the annual budget process.
- Work closely with departmental managers to monitor and control monthly/YTD overhead costs, calculating latest forecast of costs.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure capital spending is monitored, in line with authorised spending.
- Provide support at year end to the annual audit process liaising with external auditors as required.
- Provide analytical support to investment decisions.
- Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.
- Compiling strategies that will reduce business costs.
- Any other duties as requested by senior management team.
The Candidate Will
- Have experience within a similar Accountancy role - Required
- Be almost CIMA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience - Required
- Have an strong working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
- Have an understanding of the industry and product supply chain - Desirable
- Have strong communication skills both written and verbal - Required
- Be an analytical thinker with a high attention to detail - Required
