Page Personnel are working with a leading manufacturing business based in Knutsford. They are seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing team at an exciting time for the business.

Description

Management Accountant responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly management accounts to the prescribed internal format on a timely basis
• Provide analytical review and commentary on month end performances, explaining deviations from budget and forecast where applicable.
• Maintain strong internal control and understanding of all accounts within the balance sheet undertaking monthly reconciliations of such accounts.
• Ensure Intercompany balances are reconciled monthly between group companies.
• Provide support to the annual budget process.
• Work closely with departmental managers to monitor and control monthly/YTD overhead costs, calculating latest forecast of costs.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure capital spending is monitored, in line with authorised spending.
• Provide support at year end to the annual audit process liaising with external auditors as required.
• Provide analytical support to investment decisions.
• Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.
• Compiling strategies that will reduce business costs.
• Any other duties as requested by senior management team.
  
  

Profile

The Candidate Will

• Have experience within a similar Accountancy role - Required
• Be almost CIMA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience - Required
• Have an strong working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
• Have an understanding of the industry and product supply chain - Desirable
• Have strong communication skills both written and verbal - Required
• Be an analytical thinker with a high attention to detail - Required
