About the Role: The position involves the preparation of financial statements for small and medium-sized limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing corporation tax calculations and submissions.
• Preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
• Completing self-assessment tax returns.
• Attending client meetings and interacting with directors and business owners.
• Assisting in the training of apprentices.
• Performing other general accountancy/administrative tasks as needed.

About You: To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.
• Proficiency in written and technical skills.
• Strong prioritization and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong record-keeping skills.
• AAT qualification, with a desire to progress your career further.

What would make you stand out?

• Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, or Sage Business Cloud is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake further studies with ICAEW or ACCA, as training contracts are available.
