The Senior Management Accountant role at Ideagen is designed for individuals who lead with the business in mind. While possessing excellent financial knowledge to aid in statutory and tax reporting, your primary focus will be on driving the business forward both financially and operationally. This pivotal role within our newly established Finance function involves developing and implementing effective management reporting and control processes, engaging directly with the business.
HYBRID- TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY IN OUR RUDDINGTON OFFICE- NOTTINGHAM
- Prepare monthly management accounts, taking full responsibility for the Group's P&L and conducting detailed variance analysis.
- Collaborate with various regions to thoroughly understand their P&L, creating meaningful information for stakeholders across the business.
- Perform monthly analyses of actual costs against the budget and prior months, understanding the drivers behind variances, and partnering with specific business groups to communicate these drivers clearly.
- Play a key role in implementing a new consolidation system.
- Serve as the main point of contact for auditors, preparing lead schedules, and ensuring a smooth audit process.
- Work with the finance team to develop innovative, automated, and controlled finance processes.
- Fully support team members to create the most efficient and effective finance function.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses aligned with business needs.
- Deliver on global initiatives to facilitate business improvement.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Prior experience in a group finance function.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence management and present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Keen interest in both management and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in leveraging Excel.
- A proactive attitude, always seeking better ways of doing things in finance and business processes.
- Positive enthusiasm and the ability to set an excellent example for the team.
- Prior experience with consolidation system implementation is a plus.
