Intro

Cedar is currently partnered with a highly impressive VC Backed SaaS Firm to secure an Interim Financial Controller based just outside Manchester (3-4 days in). The role is a 3-6-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £425 - £500 per day (outside IR35).

You will need to be able to start within 1-2 weeks.

The Company

The firm is a rapidly scaling enterprise with a revenue of >£2.5 million, backed by VC. The business specializes in innovative technology solutions and is currently seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join their team.

The Role

Overview:

• Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company.
• Supervise and support two direct reports: Credit Controller and Finance Manager.
• Handle all aspects of financial reporting and month-end closing processes.
• Ensure the smooth operation of daily financial activities.
• Manage the year-end financial process (Year-end in September).
• Assist with finalizing budgets for FY25.

Your Profile:

• Must be a qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven hands-on experience in a financial controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end procedures, and general financial management.
• Experience managing a small team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial work.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
