A genuinely empowered, trustworthy, and sustainable financial services firm is seeking a knowledgeable, team playing candidate with relevant experience to take on a Senior Fund Accountant role to provide operational and programmatic assistance support to the Fund Accounting team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesJob & Company Description:

As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting all operational aspects related to managing the Fund Accounting portfolio.

• Verify that bank statements are current and that bank reconciliations are completed accurately and promptly
• Monitor and manage current system controls while implementing new improvements to streamline processes and reduce risk
• Prepare fund accounts according to the fund's accounting policies and enact modifications
• Coordinate with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to share information and address issues promptly
• Oversee and manage investments and divestments in collaboration with the Investment Managers
• Organize and manage audits to ensure they are conducted efficiently and on schedule
• Review audit files and working papers before submitting them to the Fund Accounting Manager
• Compile member data relevant to the valuation of the fund(s)
• Collaborate with senior management to identify all key risks and ensure they are effectively communicated to the appropriate business owners
• Making sure that monthly compliance reports are on-time, accurate and thoroughly reviewed internally

Job Experience & Skills Required:
B.Com Accounting
5 years of experience within retirement funds.
