We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with a BCom in Accounting and a strong background in the mining and energy industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:

• Manage and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide financial support and guidance.
• Assist in the implementation of financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the mining and energy sectors.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and industry-specific regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently.
