Successful, listed Financial Services company seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to assist their Accounting team.

Reporting to the Group FM, the candidate must have a completed BCom Honours (Accounting), Completed Articles would be advantageous. Minimum of 10 years full function corporate Accounting experience covering the following:

• Managing the corporate month end accounting process from source to trial balance in Sage Evolution
• Preparation and posting of all monthly journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of the monthly management reports
• Preparation of subsidiary or shareholder financial statements in Caseware
• Liaising with the external Auditors
• Preparation of tax computations and tax returns and filing on SARS E-Filing
• Preparation of Directors remuneration schedules
• Loading payments into our banking system
• Keeping track of the shareholders for dividends
• Preparing Solvency and Liquidity tests
• Maintaining the companies fixed asset register
• Drafting of accounting opinions
• Maintaining the inter-company schedule
• Participate in system improvement projects
• Keep abreast of latest developments in accounting field
• Ad hoc tasks as required

This is a stand alone position, for a 4 month contract starting 1 December 2024. The candidate must be highly experienced as there is no time to train.
