Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Group Accountant who will be the cornerstone of financial accuracy and integrity. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to shape financial strategies and contribute to high-level decision-making processes that propel the company forward.

Responsibilities:

Take the lead in preparing and reviewing consolidated group accounts for executive-level review and board presentations.

Scrutinize subsidiary financial statements to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Tackle technical accounting queries and develop comprehensive documentation to support financial positions.

Engage with key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination during crucial reporting periods.

Provide robust support to the Group IFRS Accounting Manager in achieving team goals.

Foster continuous improvement by identifying innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of post-article experience.

Proficiency in IFRS reporting is non-negotiable.

A solid background in reporting and consolidations at a group level is essential.

Prior experience working with executive committees and senior stakeholders is highly preferred.

Familiarity with the insurance or finance sectors will be considered an asset.

Knowledge of Cognos Controller software is advantageous.
