Finance Assistant - Sheffield

Adept Resourcing are currently working In partnership with a leading manufacturing company based in the Sheffield area who are looking to add a Finance Assistant to their growing team on a permanent basis.

This role will be working directly under the finance manager and the candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 2 transactional staff within the team.

This role comes with the opportunity to progress to an assistant management accountant

Key roles and

responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for 2 Companies (Training provided)
• Managing a purchase ledger supervisor and junior credit controller
• Reconcile Inter- company accounts
• Train up on all aspects of month end process
• Overhaul of current systems and procedures
• Prepare Annual Budget Workings
• Prepare group for annual budgets
• Weekly cashflow and approve monthly payment runs
• Analyse P&L variances and oversee reconciliation of Balance sheet control accounts
  Vat preparation and reconciliation

The ideal candidate:

• Must hold at least Level 3 AAT
• Must be looking for a long term permanent role.
• Good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written skills, problem solver, be able to recommend implement solutions, meet deadlines and be pro-active.
• Must have a strong solid work history and have shown longevity to previous employers.
• Must be a team player

  This role is a permanent job opportunity from day one for the candidate following a successful interview stage. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Fridays 9am-4pm. The annual salary is between £26,000-£30,000 depending on experience.
