We're looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller at the recently refurbished and ever busy Mercure Picadilly Hotel, Manchester.

A day in the life of

As Finance Controller you will prepare monthly management accounts, manage sales ledgers, participate in the hotel forecasting process and hotel budget processes, supporting the forecast of payroll and expenses as well as reviewing and challenging the revenue forecast as appropriate. You will Compile a monthly cash flow forecast and monitor bank transactions as well as attend Owner and Management Company meetings as required.

This is a stand-alone position within the hotel but working in conjunction with a shared service finance function and an Assistant Finance Business Partner offsite, you will have the opportunity to shape and mould the wider hotel team in order to support profitability. Working closely alongside the General Manager, the role requires high analytical thinking and a strategic approach whilst also having a good understanding of the hotel industry.

What do we need from you?

We're looking for similar experience in a finance or accounting role, with hospitality finance experience highly desireable.

You'll have a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in financial software and tools. Effective communication, leadership, and team management skills are also critical for success in this role.
