We are working with a global client whose ethos is plain and simple: we come to work to help be a part of a better future. If you are looking for a role within a business that inspires self-motivation, commitment and passion then you may just be the perfect missing piece to their team in Welwyn Garden City.
Our client requires a Tax Specialist to focus on tax compliance and reporting, while also having opportunities for advisory work, collaborating with the business, accounting services, tax functions, and external tax advisers both locally and globally. They are committed to rewarding their employees for their impactful challenging work, so here are the perks:
Hybrid (2 days in office), providing flexibility when able

Professional qualifications in accounting and/or tax.
Strong knowledge of corporation tax and VAT.
Experience with transfer pricing, UK R&D, and Irish taxes is a plus.
Ability to work independently within established guidelines and policies, with minimal supervision.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Assisting in managing the direct and indirect tax compliance processes (including corporation tax, VAT, and plastics tax), handled by the in-house tax team, the accounting shared services centre, or external tax advisers, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
Supporting the oversight of tax-related aspects of the monthly group reporting and annual statutory accounts process, managed by the accounting shared services centre, ensuring timely completion.
Helping address tax inquiries and queries from HMRC.
Providing tax guidance and support across all taxes to the business and the wider organization.
Preparing and submitting the annual PSA, with assistance from an external provider.
Assisting with various ad hoc tasks, projects, and transactions, including tax governance issues.
Supporting the implementation of global tax policies, including transfer pricing.
