Financial Accountant - Permanent - £60,000 - Watford - Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with an industry leading business to assist with their recruitment of a financial accountant on a permanent basis.This will be a statutory accounting role that oversees the statutory compliance for EMEA.



Responsibilities:


Have ownership over the statutory ledger to ensure it is reconciled to USGAAP with minimal differences, and being able to speak to its performance both USGAAP and statutory in terms of profitability and how the transfer pricing rules drive it.
Ensure statutory deadlines are met particularly with federal filings that can have a negative impact on the business if not adhered to.
Work closely with the Tax team to support them with USGAAP Tax provisioning and preparation of return to provision calculations.
Develop a sound understanding of how the group operates in terms of finance, but also operationally and commercially. Use this understanding and knowledge to add value to audits, explain financial data, key KPIs and year on year variances.
Pro-actively propose solutions/recommendations to further enhance processes. Support transformation & process improvement initiatives, particularly with automation; ensure best practice is always used.
The successful financial accountant will:

Have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Have a strong statutory audit background
Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential
German/French/Dutch language desirable but not essential
