We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join the Operational Finance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

What the role will involve?
You will be responsible for processing all Accounts Receivable transactions for the Kelda Group of companies; ensuring the completeness, accuracy, validity and timeliness of all transactions.
You will identify and implement improvements to processes and service to customers through the provision of advice, guidance, and support to the business whist ensuring Company policies, audit controls and legislative requirements are adhered to.
As our Accounts Receivable Assistant you will:
Raise Invoices, Credit notes, Process Refunds and issue VAT Receipts.
Process Quote Transfers, Journals, and clearing of Down Payments
Take telephone calls, dealing with customer emails, general queries and ICE cases.
Prepare the daily cash income and journal the monthly postings
Escalate Debt Issues and Concerns
Ensure compliance with all regulatory & statutory obligations relevant to role, including Health, Safety and Wellbeing of self andcolleagues
What skills & qualifications you will need:
Previous experience of working In an Accounts Receivable Team or similar environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with different audiences
Experience of providing excellent customer service
Attention to detail and diligence.
Ability to identify improvement opportunities and adapt to continuous change.
GCSE Maths & English minimum Grade C
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and IT literate
You will also benefit from having:

Able to monitor own performance and understand where development is required.
