Are you a detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a background in property management? We are looking for a skilled professional that is responsible for maintaining accurate financial and tax reporting, while managing and implementing accounting and reporting controls. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual financial statements for companies under management.
• Submit IT14s, provisional tax returns, Dividend Tax Returns, and reconcile VAT and Withholding Tax returns for both South African and foreign entities.
• Assist with annual budget and forecast preparation.
• Monthly review of bank reconciliations, manage trial balances, and ensure timely consolidation for all reporting entities.
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers monthly and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Compile/review monthly management accounts and prepare working papers for group reporting.
• Perform month-end and year-end system closures and liaise with internal/external auditors.
• Review and authorize payments through FNB Online.
• Develop, monitor, and implement internal accounting policies.
• Assist in preparing board meeting and sub-committee meeting packs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• B. Com Honours or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (B. Com).
• Completed articles will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior accounting/reporting role.
• Staff management experience will be advantageous.
• Strong group reporting, taxation, and consolidations experience.
• Proficiency in CaseWare and/or Draftworx.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
