A client based in Kloof is seeking a Financial Accountant with advanced Excel skills to join their team. The role involves overseeing office operations, including managing bookkeepers, debtors, and creditors. Responsibilities include VAT calculations and submissions, handling EMP 501s, approving salary payments, preparing monthly accounts, presenting financial reports to directors, and managing all statutory submissions.

Requirements:

B. Com or equivalent qualification, with completed articles
Advanced Excel
Sage Evolution would be beneficial
3 - 5 years' experience in managing a team, within a business environment.
Drivers License and Own Vehicle
Comprehensive understanding of systems and processes.
Attention to detail.
Able to work under pressure.
Values team work but is self-motivated

Duties and responsibilities:

Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecast
Analysis of Budget and Forecast vs actual spend Monthly
Oversee Debtors and Creditors Staff
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
Calculation of monthly rebates and discounts from suppliers and customers
Sign off Salary Payroll
Preparation and Submission of VAT
POPIA - ensure required are met on an ongoing basis
Final sign off of supplier recons and payment list
Maintains company policy and procedures file
Management of FAR
W&T Register
