Duties & Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understand their unique insurance requirements, and provide personalized service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • New Business Development: Prospect and acquire new business clients by networking, referrals, cold calling, and other business development strategies.
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for each business client to identify potential vulnerabilities and determine the appropriate insurance coverage required.
  • Insurance Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and market conditions to provide clients with relevant and timely information.
  • Policy Analysis and Customization: Evaluate insurance policies from various carriers, compare coverage options, and tailor insurance packages to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Negotiation and Placement: Negotiate insurance terms and premiums with underwriters, ensuring the best possible coverage at competitive rates for clients.
  • Policy Renewals and Reviews: Proactively manage policy renewals, assess any changes in clients' needs, and update insurance coverage as necessary.
  • Claims Handling: Assist clients in the claims process, acting as an intermediary between clients and insurance companies to ensure a smooth and efficient resolution.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all client records, transactions, and documentation are accurately maintained and comply with industry regulations.
  • Client Education: Educate business clients on insurance-related matters, including risk management strategies, policy features, and industry updates.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to share knowledge, strategies, and best practices for overall business success.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
  • Own transport and valid driver's license.
  • DOFA Compliant Insurance qualifications (COB, RE5 & 150 FAIS Credits).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
  • Broad spectrum knowledge of various business insurance products.
