FEM is looking to appoint a Risk Analyst to assist the Operational Risk Manager with the implementation of best practice risk management within the business, which is aligned to the risk-based regulation of the insurance industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in the monitoring, control and evaluating of the overall risk profile for relevant departments. The successful candidate will provide a combined assurance view through the ongoing maintenance of risk dashboards, collating and monitoring of actions to mitigate risks, monitoring of key risk indicators and risk appetite statements.
Finally, they will be required to develop and maintain relationships between own function and key internal stakeholders to improve engagement, reporting, and wider understanding of the risk profile to support a good risk culture in the business.
The minimum requirements of the position are a relevant undergraduate degree with a finance, risk management, economics, or a related field focus with at least 2 to 3 years related working experience and an excellent performance track record. Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills, the ability to work in a highly pressurised environment, quality orientation, excellent organisational skills, high professional standards, reliability and resilience, reliability and excellent communication complete our requirements.
We have offices regionally in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. This position will be located in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
