Responsibilities & Qualification:
• Should have managed a regional or pan-India team in credit card collections.
• Strong people management skills and ability to motivate a team across multiple
locations.
• Must have strong relationships with collection agencies across the country and be
able to drive their performance.
• Ability to set targets and ensure goal orientation among the team members.
• Must have a basic understanding of underwriting policies that work and don’t work
for unsecured lending.
• Sound knowledge of how to read credit bureau reports / data and credit bureau
processes. Must be able to suggest ways to leverage credit bureau data for
improving underwriting and collections.
• Familiarity with collection systems for collection of dues from delinquent borrowers.
Experience in implementing a collection system would be preferable.
• Should be data driven and comfortable with numbers; should be comfortable with typical
credit risk portfolio reports.
• Familiarity with incentive plans for collectors/collection agencies including their
pitfalls.
•Should be ethical and act with integrity to ensure there is no reputational risk to
the organization.
• Must have sound knowledge about all rules and regulation (particularly those
relating to credit card collections) and ensure compliance with these across
the risk organization.
