Job Purpose/ Summary :
This role involves implementing process improvements, collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, and providing excellent customer service to address payroll-related queries. Additionally, the Role will develop and implement payroll policies and procedures, prepare detailed reports for senior management, and train and mentor junior staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Job Description :
1. Oversee and manage the entire payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees.
2. Implement process transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in payroll management.
3. Manage income tax and income tax return processes for employees ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
4. Ensure statutory compliance in all payroll processes, keeping up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect payroll
5. Collaborate with other departmental and stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
6. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any payroll-related queries or issues from employees in a timely and professional manner.
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to payroll and compliance.
8. Prepare and present reports on payroll and compliance activities to senior management.
9. Train and mentor junior staff members in the department, fostering -collaborative and supportive work environment
10. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in payroll management o payroll management and compliance.
11. The Deputy Manager should place special emphasis on customer focus and collaboration. They should strive to provide excellent service to employees, addressing their payroll related queries and issues promptly and professionally.
12. They should also work closely with other departments and stakeholders. Fostering a collaborative environment to ensure smooth payroll operations.
