Department Description
Shared Services Change team is one of the team which is part of 'Banking, Payments & Distribution capability' under the GPS Delivery umbrella and this capability is responsible for the receipt and payment of monies to / from investors / intermediaries and processing of fund distributions & interest accrual processing and various other control related activities for payments and distribution team. Shared Service change team is a wing under this capability which has their presence in UK/India and takes care of all end to end requirements for any Enterprise & Regulatory level projects/changes and also support BCP and Continuous improvement ideas.
Shared Services Change team is responsible to drive the change agenda within GPS. This would include working on various projects/ enhancements/ process improvements & regulatory changes within timelines. The team is responsible to understand the end to end customer journey and to complete the end to end impact analysis of the change requirement, liaise with various stakeholders for project development at various stages. The team is also responsible to deliver the complete change by having early engagements with Technology teams and Business Analysts / Project manager. The involvement of the team member is critical at various project cycle stages i.e. requirement gathering, testing in various environments, resolving defects, signing off project documents, liaising with stakeholders, identifying new risks, escalating project obstacles, risks and making operations ready for the change by timely delivery of trainings, procedure / knowledgebase updation.
Purpose of your role
The successful candidate, as a member of the Shared Service Change team will be responsible for supporting the growth of the business operations via delivering strategic and regulatory projects. This role is responsible to drive change/ enhancements/ Continuous Improvement ideas / Process improvements/ regulatory changes. Responsibilities include understanding end to end customer journey, giving project requirements, completing impact analysis, completion of end to end testing and delivering operational readiness. During contingency situations wherein there are high volumes or thin resource layering within the BAU teams, the candidate will need to support BAU processing function. He / She will ensure smooth functioning of the teams in scope and prepare them for present and future initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate by virtue of having in-depth knowledge of the process / procedures / system, will be contributing to enhancements as the subject matter expert for one or more than one capabilities. The candidate will also be expected to work closely with the PTSS, CASS team and Client Money Operational Support team to assist with the delivery of tactical and strategic initiatives for the team. This may require building an increasing awareness of FCA's regulatory requirements on protection of client monies and assets through workshops, assisting with process improvement ideas within the team and other capabilities with focus on making process more automated and straight through. The candidate will majorly focus on inculcating processes which will reduce the regulatory risk, create capacity and enhance controls. The core responsibilities will also revolve around engagement in projects along with other operational area's and provide expert inputs to ensure timely and quality delivery on projects.

- To make operational teams ready before the change hits production - This may include getting SOPs updated, knowledgebase updated, training operational teams, raising access request etc
- Testing related to weekly deployment health checks.
- To cross train team members and answer procedural questions - as a Subject Matter Expert.
- To represent one or more capabilities/Teams at various levels, townhalls, talk about wins/challenges for change team in front of sr. management.
- To interact with process developers and facilitate the process description such that every aspect of the process gets included during the discussion.
- Preparation and uploading the test scripts on JIRA.
- To understand agile methodology of working and project cycles.
- Executing/ tracking the execution of test scripts for the process enhancements.
- Awareness of current FCA CASS including awareness of TCF and seven customer principles.
- Having a sound understanding of the systems used in reconciliations & settlements (Autorek, Sonata, GFAS, JIRA, confluence etc)
- Ability to effectively identify and escalate any failure in the upstream/downstream processes effectively.
- Having a sound understanding of the potential risks within the process and controls around the same.
- Work for BAU teams during contingency situations.
- B.Com or an equivalent bachelor's degree from a recognised university. 2 years previous experience in finance or related areas like handling payments, reconciliations is desirable. Multi-departmental exposure will be an added advantage.
