JOYA BRANDS is looking for a dynamic, and ambitious individual to join the Finance Team.
Position: Factory Accountant
Location: Atlantis - Western Cape
Reporting to: Finance Executive
Requirements of the Role:
Main responsibilities of Focus Area
Overall Responsibility:
- Safeguard integrity of financial data processed
- Inventory Management of FG, raw and packaging materials at all Warehouses and the Factory
- Assisting with the annual Audit within a specific timeframe
- Maintain the BOM costings on Evolution.
Main responsibilities and Focus Area:
Stock Control:
Monthly stock counts & cycle counts:
- Ensure all stock movements on Evolution up to date
- Capture Inventory counts in Evolution
- Investigate count variances
- Calculating WIP
- Conversion cost calculation perform and journalize
- Correction inventory journals (exceptions)
- Customer profitability report
- Product profitability - PY & Budget
- Inventory and ad hoc reconciliations
Reporting on:
- Inventory valuation report - reason for variance
- Reporting of month-end stock variances
- Purchase price variances
- FIFO FG inventory analysis - All warehouses
- Factory usage, waste and efficiencies
Quarterly:
- Review and analyze the STD cost of inventory and FG margin reports
- Calculate and upload inventory STD costing in Sage Evolution
BOM Control:
- BOM maintenance: Excel and Evolution
- Impact on product profitability
- Maintaining BOM standards (weights/yields)
- Quarterly review reporting of impact of BOM changes on prime margin.
Business Support:
- New product development costing and support
- Inventory maintenance on Evolution
- Assisting warehouse to investigate and resolve incorrect transactions. E.g. GRV, WHTR, IBT, MFP
- Mass balance - measuring stock usage compared to BOM requirements
- Waste recording and reporting per production run
- Assisting with Food Safety Traceability when required - QC support
- Agreed ad hoc projects
Requirements of the Role:
Qualification:
- Grade 12
- B Comm Acc/Finance degree
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a FMCG environment
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Advanced excel skills.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles
Skills/Competencies Required:
- Able to thrive in fast paced FMCG environment
- Managing conflict in the team and building a team spirit
- Strong interpersonal communication
- Good time management skills
- Strong analytical and investigative abilities
- Adaptable and not adverse to changes
- Strong excel capabilities
- Attention to detail
