Our client is looking for an Accountant who will report to the Financial Manager. The successful incumbent should have extensive financial procedures and accounting system knowledge. The candidate needs to have strong people management skills in a FMCG environment

Requirements:

BCom Accounting Degree or similar financial diploma or degree
3 years experience in a financial department
1 year people management experience
FMCG industry experience is highly advantageous

Duties & ResponsibilitiesRoles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting reports
• Prepare periodic financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and obtain input and comment on the performance, progress and reasons for variances.
• Develop and provide reports for all departments linked to Syspro, i.e. sales report, purpose report.
• Coach non‐financial managers on interpreting and communicating financial data.
• Assist with the preparation, consolidation and review of strategy, plans and budgets
• Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements
