About the Department
The Chief Operating Office for the Investments Vector (IV COO) is focused on supporting and enabling teams within the broader Investment Vector - ensuring we deliver our client promise.
About the Role
As the ESG Proposition Owner you will be part of the Client and Regulatory Operations team, working closely with other colleagues across the Investment Vector, including the Head of Sustainable Investing.
You will be responsible for the development and oversight of processes relating to ESG regulatory and discretionary client and entity reporting, including suitability and control of data and new regulatory requirements. This is an important area for abrdn and clients, who are committed to having a positive impact on the sustainability and ESG agenda.

Key Responsibilities
- Own, manage and operationalise the development and oversight of processes related to ESG regulatory and discretionary client reporting
- Ensure deliver of regulatory reporting in the UK (TCFD, SDR) and EU (SFDR)
- Own and manage the development of new ESG data and reporting services on behalf of the Global Information Provision team
- Interfacing with Sustainability teams, Compliance and Front Office to assess and prioritise demand for ESG reporting
- Work closely with Compliance and Sustainability teams to ensure on-going regulatory requirements are met
- Support the Global Information Provision team to embed new ESG reporting deliveries into BAU
About the Candidate
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at multiple levels including senior management
- Experienced in dealing with ESG data and reporting
- Knowledge of ESG regulatory landscape
- High proficiency in developing strong and influential relationships, while also utilising influencing skills, with staff at all levels of the company and relevant suppliers
- Expertise in designing solutions and implementing effective operating models,
