LSL Property Services PLC, one of the UK's foremost providers of services to mortgage intermediaries and franchised estate agencies, is seeking a strategic and proactive Group Head of Reporting to join our Group Finance team.

At LSL, we provide a wide range of essential services including mortgage arrangements, valuation services for major lenders, residential sales, lettings, and more. As the Group Head of Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our financial reporting processes meet the highest standards of technical compliance and drive best practices across our business divisions.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead our Group reporting team in managing both internal and external reporting cycles. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the interim and annual reporting processes, coordinating statutory accounts production, and maintaining key external relationships with auditors and advisors. You will deliver insightful financial analysis to senior management, empowering informed decision-making across our diverse portfolio of services.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Group reporting team to ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and professional advisors, providing transparent updates on reporting progress and developments.
  • Communicate financial performance effectively to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making with detailed analysis and narrative.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Group Finance, enhancing reporting processes and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure technical compliance and provide expert accounting guidance to mitigate reporting risks.
  • Develop and maintain the Group Accounting Manual, delivering training as needed to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams to optimize financial insights and reporting capabilities.
  • Manage and develop the Financial and Management reporting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects such as M&A, due diligence, or legal support as required.

Role Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) with significant audit practice experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and their practical application.
  • Proven managerial experience driving cultural excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and MS Office suite.
  • Experience within large corporate environments preferred; exposure to audit practice from top-tier firms is advantageous.
