Join us as our Head of Financial Modelling, this role reports directly to our Director of FP&A and plays a pivotal role in spearheading the annual Group 5YP process. You will be entrusted with the continuous enhancement and management of a comprehensive Group financial model. This model is designed to be both robust and flexible, serving as a vital tool for the business to swiftly identify financial trends and make informed strategic decisions.
Additionally, this role is instrumental in leading the charge for advancements in financial modelling and reporting across the broader Finance team, ensuring a consistent elevation in analytical capabilities.

Join us as our Head of Financial Modelling, this role reports directly to our Director of FP&A and plays a pivotal role in spearheading the annual Group 5YP process. You will be entrusted with the continuous enhancement and management of a comprehensive Group financial model. This model is designed to be both robust and flexible, serving as a vital tool for the business to swiftly identify financial trends and make informed strategic decisions.
Additionally, this role is instrumental in leading the charge for advancements in financial modelling and reporting across the broader Finance team, ensuring a consistent elevation in analytical capabilities.
What will I be doing?
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Group 5-Year Plan (5YP) model that is precise, adaptable, and driven by key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling the execution of various scenarios to support swift decision-making.
- Spearhead the 5YP initiative, ensuring that Business Units take ownership of their input assumptions and output forecasts, resulting in a realistic yet ambitious plan.
- Craft executive-level presentations that provide clear insights and simplify complex financial data.
- Collaborate closely with the Treasury team to assist with credit rating evaluations and refinancing efforts.
- Foster robust relationships across the finance team, particularly with the CFO, Finance Directors, their leadership teams, and the Strategy team.
- Lead the enhancement of financial modelling and reporting processes within the broader Finance teams.
- Contribute to projects, including preparing presentations for external stakeholders (e.g., strategy consultants, rating agencies), and analysing potential acquisitions or transactions.
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
- Expertise in Excel: Advanced proficiency in Excel for complex data analysis and reporting.
- FP&A Background: Demonstrated experience in Group Financial Planning & Analysis within a large, multifaceted organisation.
- Collaborative Business Partnering: Proven track record of fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
- Executive Communication: Skilled in crafting and presenting high-level presentations, simplifying intricate technical subjects for executive comprehension.
- Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical abilities paired with strong attention to detail.
- Financial and Commercial Insight: Adept at balancing financial expertise with strategic commercial insight.
- Analytical Thinker: Ability to construct compelling business cases using financial data.
- Technical Accounting Acumen: Understanding of statutory accounting principles, with a focus on processes and controls. - Preferred
Education and Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) - Preferred
