To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Personal Tax Advisor (Senior) to join our Farnham Personal Tax team. This is a permanent full time role with hybrid working and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle). The Role Your key responsibilities will include:

To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Personal Tax Advisor (Senior) to join our Farnham Personal Tax team. This is a permanent full time role with hybrid working and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle). The Role Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring compliance with HM Revenue & Customs and in-house deadlines
- Preparing and processing tax returns and P11Ds from information provided
- Calculation and advice of liabilities, together with due dates of payment to client
- Assisting with client queries and providing ad hoc advice where requested
- Billing personal portfolio clients after work completed
- Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls and arranging and attending meetings with clients and potential clients
- Assisting partners and staff members with technical queries
- Providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate
- Assisting in the preparation of technical reports in relation to income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
- Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls and enquiries
- General support to the tax team as required
- Hybrid and flexible working
- Exposure to a broad range of clients across many industry sectors such as healthcare, property, advertising and PR. These will include sole traders, partnerships, landlords and trusts
- A Line Manager who will work closely with you to support your development and provide day to day guidance

- Experience within a private client tax team
- Ideally ATT qualified
- A Self-starter with a with a high level of resilience and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong aptitude for IT - able to pick up new technology quickly
- Can do attitude, positive and commercial approach
- Confident, tactful and discreet manner
- Strong team spirit but also effective working independently
