We are currently seeking an exceptional Finance Director to hold a crucial position both within our Executive Leadership team and on our Board, serving as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors.
This role encompasses financial stewardship, strategic planning, risk management, and overseeing Gleneagles’ procurement and legal interests. The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring the financial health and integrity of the business whilst also providing guidance and direction in procurement, governance, and legal compliance.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and long-term goals, serving as a key liaison between the Executive Team and the Board of Directors
- Providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision making by our Managing Director and the Board
- Leading the annual budget process and ongoing financial forecasting
- Overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash management
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Producing timely and accurate financial reporting for the Managing Director, the Board, and other stakeholders
- Presenting financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to the Board; participating in board meetings and contributing to discussions on corporate governance, risk management, and strategic direction
- Expertly leading the relationships with key external stakeholders, including banks, auditors and insurers
- Providing oversight of legal affairs, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborating with internal and external legal counsel to address legal issues and mitigate risks
- Leading the annual internal control process, continuing to develop the internal control framework
- Staying fully informed on, and where possible ahead of, changes in laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations, ensuring we are always fully compliant
- Driving the improvement agenda within the Finance team, constantly seeking opportunities to streamline effort and improve accuracy and output
- Supporting our wider business systems improvement, ensuring alignment between all departments and Finance
- Ensuring our procurement strategies optimise cost-effectiveness and efficiency and that Gleneagles establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers and vendors that drive quality, reliability, and favourable terms; you’ll also oversee major contracts and agreement negotiations
- Directing the Sales team responsible for renting and selling our seasonal ownership Glenmor homes
- Acting as Treasurer for the Glenmor Owners’ Club, and liaising with owners and other stakeholders in the financial operation of Glenmor
The kind of person we're looking for:
- A Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA), you have proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably with Board exposure, alongside outstanding understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
- You combine your strong technical Finance skills with strategic thinking and exceptional leadership capabilities to drive the financial success of the organisation
- An analytical thinker, you identify issues and develop solutions, adjusting strategies based on changing financial conditions and translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations
- You integrate your financial acumen with procurement expertise to ensure cost-effective and strategic sourcing, fantastic procurement management and contract negotiation
- Adept in navigating regulatory environments, you have a sound knowledge of legal principles, compliance requirements, and corporate governance; you know exactly how to steer through financial regulations and standards to ensure unquestionable compliance
- Your communication and interpersonal skills are excellent, you have the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- A highly credible leader, your experience in managing and developing teams is vast, and you extend this to team collaboration across the business
- Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing, often conflicting priorities, is tried and tested
- Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
