HW Interim Solutions have been engaged by a Financial Services client, to appoint an Interim Financial Controller on a 6 month basis.
As an Interim Financial Controller, you will take ownership and lead in the preparation of quarterly and annual Group statutory financial statements, executing ad hoc transaction accounting and the preparation of local GAAP/IFRS statements.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified with proven experience working within a Financial Services organisation, with exposure to IFRS9 accounting.
This role will be delivered on a day rate and will be based in Yorkshire on a hybrid basis (3 day per week onsite).
Must be available immediately or available within the coming weeks.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, prepare and review financial statements ensuring accurate and timely preparation in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of all required regulatory filings and disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, including monitoring changes in financial reporting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Effectively communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to the financial reporting process to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support the wider team with technical expertise relating to transaction and project-based accounting.
- Become a source of technical expertise of the Group for financial reporting.
