Introduction
We have an exciting position that has become available for an experienced Payroll/Tax Officer.
The position is based in Edgemead, Cape Town.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculations ect.
2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
3. Stay current and relevant payroll and tax legislation.
4. Provide support during internal and external audits.
5. Submit mid-year and year end tax submissions.
6. Assist the Group HR Manager with all labour and payroll compliance matters.
Desired Experience & Qualification
1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Human Resources or similar field.
2. Previous working experience payroll/tax officer.
3. Proficient with payroll software - VIP Sage Business Cloud. Strong understanding of relevant software and systems.
4. Ability to handle confidential information.
5. Ability to assist the Group HR Manager, preparing budgets across the group of entities.
6. Knowledge of the provisions of Basic Conditions of Employment Act, statutory and legislative requirements in respect of PAYE, UIF, COIDA ect.
