Are you an experienced financial professional with a passion for making a difference? We are partnering with a leading children's charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families to recruit an experienced Head of Financial Accounts and Systems.

As the Head of Financial Accounts and Systems, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the financial operations. You will lead the financial accounting team, manage and develop the financial systems, and ensure the integrity and efficiency of the financial processes. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our mission and ensuring we can continue to deliver vital services to children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and develop the financial accounts team, providing guidance and support.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Charity SORP
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial systems and processes.
  • Support in the procurement and implementation/upgrade of a new finance system
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the charity's overall objectives.
  • Be the main point of contact for auditors, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders.

About You:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a senior financial role, preferably within the charity sector (but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles including Charity SORP
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in financial systems and accounting software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
