We are delighted to be working with a software business who are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role is a newly created post, and will be a part time role, for 24 hours per week. Within the role you will report into the Finance Manager. The role will be worked remotely, with ad hoc travel required for team meetups between Cambridge and Leeds.
As the incoming Assistant Accountant, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Processing and maintaining records of sales invoices and expenses
- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing VAT Returns
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Additional duties as required
As the successful candidate for this role, you will have previous experience working in a similar level role within an accounts team, and be part of fully AAT qualified or equivalent. You must have experience using the accounting system Xero and applications without this are likely to be unsuccessful. Additional attributes you will ideally possess include:
- Strong attention to detail
- Self motivated and happy to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Good excel skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
This role offers a healthy benefit and holiday package and is perfect for someone who is set up to remote work and enjoys doing so. For further information, apply now or contact Jamie at Pure for an initial discussion
