Duties & Responsibilities
The South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a permanent opportunity available for a National Market: Economistbased in Maydon Wharf, Durban.
Reporting to the National Markets and Trade Policy Director, the overall purpose of this position is to work in tandem with the director in ensuring that industry principals and relevant stakeholders are provided with key market information to assist in their decision making. The incumbent is therefore required to play a key support role through the gathering, monitoring, analysing and reporting on of key information.

The incumbent will form a key part of the broader National Market team as their research findings and insights will be key inputs in the development of marketing communication strategies.

- Communication and Reporting
The incumbent will form a key part of the broader National Market team as their research findings and insights will be key inputs in the development of marketing communication strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Applicants should be in possession of a postgraduate degree in Agricultural Economics/Economics or a related discipline such as Business Management
- A master's degree will be advantageous
- Applicants should be in possession of an endorsement free Code B or Code EB driver's license and a valid passport
