TPF Recruitment is proud to represent a rapidly growing firm of Accountants and business advisors based in Reading, currently looking to hire an Accounts & Outsourcing Manager. Key

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial outsourcing for a portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and year-end deliverables are completed to high-quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports, managing performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.
  • Onboard new clients, preparing proposals and engagement letters to ensure compliance.


Requirements
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of 3 or more, including conducting one-to-one meetings and goal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, including the production of statutory accounts under FRS 105 and 102, and consolidations.
  • Solid understanding of VAT principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Xero, Dext, and CCH is a plus.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with good decision-making abilities and adaptability to changing deliverables.
  • A team player who acts as a strong role model and helps all team members.
  • Ability to review juniors' work, provide constructive feedback, and help them understand basic principles.
  • Advise clients and the team on processing efficiencies.
  • Lead client meetings and discuss basic corporation and personal tax rules, including dividend planning.


Benefits
  • Salary Circa £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and qualification status.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing by one day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days.
