International Programme Officer (Energy)
About Ashden
Ashden boosts climate innovation in the UK and Global South. Our support brings clean energy to
villages and refugee camps and fixes up cold and draughty homes. It makes schools more
sustainable and helps communities protect and restore the nature around them.
About the Role
Are you passionate about climate justice in the Global South? We’re recruiting an international
programme officer to support the trailblazers delivering clean, affordable energy solutions to
communities around the world.
Supporting delivery of some of our new and upcoming programmes, you will work with colleagues
and external stakeholders to help renewable energy pioneers in the Global South to reach new
funder and investor audiences, and ultimately secure finance to strengthen and scale their
solutions. These solutions could range from solar-powered cold storage for food and medicines
to cookstoves tackling toxic air pollution, or electric two and three wheelers to help people
bring their goods to market. As well as coordinating the initiative, you will build and
strengthen relationships with partner organisations and help devise strategies for increasing
investment and influencing key stakeholders in their policy development.
You will report to the Head of International Programmes.
