Our team of experienced professionals are based across four locations in Greater London and Essex and serve a varied range of organisations, businesses and private clients.
We are currently looking for a part or fully qualified accountant with well-rounded experience who is looking to further develop their skills and career in a growing office. The focus of the role is on the delivery of audit, financial reporting and related services to our expanding medium/large corporate business client base. In addition, the role provides exposure to all aspects of general practice, ranging from personal and corporate tax, management reporting and other services.

In addition, the role provides exposure to all aspects of general practice, ranging from personal and corporate tax, management reporting and other services.
Key responsibilities
- To assist the audit partner in the audit planning phase
- To work as part of an audit team in the execution phase of statutory audits of UK headquartered medium and large companies and groups
- To take the lead role in smaller audits
- Completion of the file up to manager or Director review, including supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff as appropriate
- To liaise directly with clients to resolve technical and other challenging issues as appropriate, including agreement of audit adjustments
- To prepare client statutory accounts under FRS102, including UK and international group consolidations
- To undertake draft corporate tax computations for review by tax manager
- To attend client finalisation meetings with the audit partner
- To assist the audit partners in carrying out ad hoc assignments for audit and larger clients, including:
- Due diligence
- Internal audit
- Share valuations
- Systems reviews
The ideal candidate will:
- Be part qualified (ACA/ACCA)
- Possess strong literacy and numerical skills
- Possess demonstrable double entry bookkeeping skills
- Have basic tax knowledge - how to do corporation tax computations, PAYE, VAT
- Currently be working within a practice environment with strong audit exposure
- Have good up-to-date technical knowledge including recent developments in auditing accounting standards
- Possess excellent communication skills - oral and written, and the ability to establish relationships with people from different environments
- Have excellent organisational skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks at the same time Possess excellent client management skills.
