This role is based out of our Telford office and is hybrid, office and home based.

The Role

We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our product & proposition finance change team to provide professional accountancy and / or finance analysis service across business processes to ensure the organisation meets its regulatory, reputational and commercial requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of designated finance activity throughout the project change cycle. Deliveries will include accounting requirements captured, reviewed, appropriate scope, validated against IT designs and implemented into BAU efficiently and effectively. The use of appropriate MI to stakeholders will be essential. Cross functional collaboration will include participating in internal discussions and groups in order to promote finance interests, identify requirements which will contribute to the successful delivery of the projects.

The role will require the successful candidate to understand and communicate complex accounting/finance procedures and principles with multiple stakeholders across the business both internally and externally. With this fast paced role, balancing competing priorities on different pieces of work in challenging timescales will be key, while maintaining a continually high quality of output. The role will require the candidate to confidently influence decisions across the organisation teams where priorities and interests are often conflicting.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Fully or part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

Good ownership of tasks, through excellent organisation skills and diligent approach

Good interpersonal skills, to build networks across accounting and the wider business

Stakeholder management

Desirable

Knowledge of ALPHA

Experience using SQL

Experience of finance operational change ideally within life or equivalent
