We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing accountancy firm based in Kings Norton, Birmingham, for an experienced Senior Accountant with an ACA or ACCA qualification and 3 to 5 years of UK practice experience.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking Senior Accountant to join a dynamic team within a supportive working environment. The role is client-facing, so the successful candidate must be confident in communicating directly with clients.
While the position is primarily office-based, there is potential for some flexibility with remote working after an initial onboarding period.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
ACA or ACCA qualified
Strong practice experience, including preparation of statutory year-end accounts for SMEs with turnovers between £1 million and £10 million
Proficient in preparing CT600s, personal tax returns, and handling issues related to Capital Gains and domestic rental properties
Experience managing HMRC enquiries and compliance checks
High standards of accounting knowledge, including industry-specific practices and their application
Experience reviewing the work of junior team members
Tax advisory experience is desirable

Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Production of analysis and reports in preparation for client meetings
Handling day-to-day client enquiries and queries
Reviewing the work of junior team members
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £42,000.00 - £47,000.00 per year
