The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Finance Manager for a leading privately owned collection of diverse and dynamic forward-thinking companies based in Perth. The Finance Manager will report into the Directors of the business. As a Finance Manager you will control the day-to-day functions within accounts with 5 members of staff reporting directly into you.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with other departments to optimise financial processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.

The multi-disciplined group has grown organically over the past 50 years and specialises in market sectors including automotive manufacturing, construction, technical consultancy, composite manufacturing, property investment, land development, mechanical services, heating, plumbing and electrical services, renewable technologies, software development and internet of things.

Our client is located within a new state of-the-art office building in Perth, accredited with the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Gold standard.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting transactions for a group of companies
  • Manage the accounts team of 5 people
  • Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Forecasts for the group company directors
  • Prepare budget forecasts
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • All accounts payable and receivable are reconciled by your team
  • Ensure timely bank payments are made by your team
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Develop, Implement and Comply with financial policies and regulations


Essential skills
  • Relevant qualifications within the finance sector or accounting
  • Significant Work experience as an Accountant/Finance Manager
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software including Sage
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Recognised accounting qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.
