Our client is a leading international, high growth and acquisitive Private Equity backed SaaS business. The CFO is looking to appoint a progressive Group Financial Controller to build a first in class finance function that supports growth and integrates future acquisitions. This role provides a truly outstanding opportunity for a finance professional looking to progress. The company offers hybrid working, with a need to be in the office 2-3 days per week. You will be leading a team of 15, and you will be required to further develop the function, to support strategic growth.



Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for Group reporting, including Monthly Board packs
  • Lead, manage, coach and develop the finance function providing technical guidance where necessary.
  • Lead and manage the annual budgeting process across the group for the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
  • Review of current systems and evaluation of fitness of purpose.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and processes to ensure the security of assets and maximise profit performance.
  • Driving a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Production of annual Consolidated Financial Statements, liaising closely with the auditors.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts and Financial KPI’s.
  • Improving reporting timelines to meet the requirements of the Private Equity investors.
  • Monthly Group Cashflow forecasting - including covenant reporting and Treasury Management
  • Lead the annual external audit process for the Group as well as tax compliance and R&D
  • Responsibility for M&A transaction accounting and supporting integrations
  • Ad hoc duties as required
  • Supporting the exit longer term, including data room, due diligence


Qualifications:
  • Graduate level education with demonstrable academic success
  • Professionally qualified Accountant, ideally having training in practice before gaining industry experience.
  • Ability to build a “first in class finance function - building developing the team and improving the quality and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounting (IFRS) and compliance, with experience of M&A and taxation (UK and Europe).
  • Experience of monthly group consolidations, including overseas trading entities with fx exposure.
  • Strong IT and systems skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Engaging and confident, able to build and maintain relationships with C-suite and department heads.
