37 hours per week, fixed term 24 months
£25,892 per annum, inclusive of £2,742 per annum Distant Islands Allowance

The Modern Apprentice is a member of the Resources Section providing support to the Senior Resources Officer with regard to the provision of financial reports and monitoring services to Service Managers and schools and assisting with a variety of pupil and staff support services. This post will assist the Education Service Accountant with accounting and financial management services relevant to the Education, Skills and Children’s Services Department as required.

You will study towards achieving the AAT Level 4 Advanced Diploma.

You must have good written and verbal communication skills and be competent in the use of IT systems to carry out work, for example data entry and spreadsheets. The ability to mange day-to-day work responsibilities is essential. You must have a minimum of 2 Highers (including English and Mathematics or Accounting).

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
